goodboy is a platform that connects people who love dogs with dog owners whose dogs enjoy human interaction and affection. Our mission is to create meaningful experiences that improve the well-being of both dogs and people.
At goodboy, the welfare, dignity, and safety of every dog always come first.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the goodboy platform, including our website, mobile application, and related services.
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms establish the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of all users and of goodboy regarding the use of the Service.
The purpose of these Terms is to ensure a safe, trustworthy, and enjoyable environment for dogs, dog owners, and dog lovers.

Users shall provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account.
Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
Users may not create accounts using false identities or impersonate another individual.
Each User may maintain only one personal account unless otherwise authorized by goodboy.
Dog Owners represent and warrant that:
goodboy reserves the right to suspend or remove any dog profile that may present safety concerns.
A Petting Session is formed only after a Dog Owner accepts a request submitted through the Service.
Unless otherwise agreed between the parties, each User is responsible for arriving at the agreed location and time.
Users acknowledge that goodboy is a platform for facilitating introductions and does not organize, supervise, or participate in Petting Sessions.
Users are solely responsible for their conduct during any Petting Session.
Petting Sessions may take place in public locations or private residences only when mutually agreed upon by both parties.
Users should prioritize public places whenever reasonably possible.
When a Petting Session takes place at a private residence, Users acknowledge the additional privacy and safety risks involved.
goodboy recommends that first-time meetings occur in public places.
Users remain free to decline any meeting request without providing a reason.
Users shall always act in a safe, respectful, and responsible manner.
Without limitation, Users shall:
If an emergency occurs, Users should first ensure the safety of people and dogs before contacting appropriate emergency services.
Users shall not:
goodboy may suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms.
Animal welfare is a fundamental principle of the Service.
All Users acknowledge that the emotional and physical well-being of every dog takes priority over entertainment or convenience.
Users shall:
goodboy may remove any User whose conduct is inconsistent with these principles, regardless of whether a specific rule has been violated.
Some features of the Service may require payment of subscription fees.
Subscription fees, billing cycles, renewal terms, and available payment methods will be presented before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew until canceled.
Users may cancel their subscriptions at any time. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.
Users may submit reviews and ratings regarding Petting Sessions.
Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on actual experiences.
goodboy may remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise violate these Terms.
Users may not manipulate ratings through fake accounts or coordinated activities.
Users retain ownership of the content they upload.
By submitting content, Users grant goodboy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for operating, improving, promoting, and protecting the Service.
Users represent that they have the necessary rights to upload such content.
goodboy may remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
goodboy may suspend or terminate any account if:
Users may delete their accounts at any time through the Service.
Termination does not relieve Users of obligations incurred before termination.
goodboy provides a platform that enables Users to connect.
goodboy does not employ Dog Owners, Dog Lovers, veterinarians, trainers, or caregivers.
Except as required by applicable law, goodboy is not responsible for:
Users acknowledge that interactions with animals involve inherent risks.
Each User voluntarily assumes those risks.
To promote a safe and trustworthy community, goodboy may require Users to complete identity verification before accessing certain features of the Service.
Identity verification may include verification of government-issued identification, telephone numbers, email addresses, payment methods, or other reasonable methods.
Completion of identity verification does not constitute a guarantee by goodboy regarding a User's identity, conduct, or reliability.
goodboy reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke verification status at its sole discretion.
The Service uses location information to facilitate matching between Dog Owners and Dog Lovers.
Users acknowledge that approximate or precise location information may be collected, processed, and displayed depending on their privacy settings.
goodboy may limit the visibility of precise locations to enhance User safety.
Users are responsible for selecting appropriate privacy settings.
The collection and use of personal information are governed by the Privacy Policy.
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, trademarks, logos, designs, graphics, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to goodboy.
Except as expressly permitted, Users may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property rights to Users.
goodboy may modify these Terms from time to time when reasonably necessary.
Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other appropriate means.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revisions, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
goodboy shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure to perform the Service resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, governmental actions, cyberattacks, telecommunications failures, or interruptions of third-party services.
Users may not assign, transfer, or otherwise dispose of any rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of goodboy.
goodboy may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, or transfer of business.
Users represent and warrant that they are not members of organized crime groups or other anti-social forces, and are not involved in activities supporting such organizations.
goodboy may immediately terminate any account upon discovering a violation of this Article.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between Users and goodboy regarding the Service.
